Q&A

Frequently asked questions

Does the Sport Performance Pack replace a pre-workout?
It replaces it in substance, not in sensation. A commercial pre-workout delivers a caffeine hit that makes you feel powerful. The pack acts on the real mechanisms of performance — ATP production, acidosis buffering, muscle contraction — without stimulants. You feel less of a rush, but you hold more reps and recover better.
Why does Beta-Alanine take several weeks to work?
Because it does not act on ingestion: it progressively saturates muscle carnosine stores. It takes 4 to 6 weeks of daily intake to raise carnosine by 40 to 80%. It is an investment, not a stimulant. A single dose before training does nothing.
Is the tingling after Beta-Alanine dangerous?
No. That tingling on the face, neck or hands is called paraesthesia. It is caused by the activation of skin receptors, is entirely benign, and fades within 30 to 60 minutes. To reduce it, split the dose into two 1.6 g servings instead of a single 3.2 g one.
Can this pack be taken while cutting or fasting?
Yes, and ALCAR is particularly relevant in a caloric deficit: it transports fatty acids to the mitochondria, which is exactly the process you want when cutting. None of the three components provides significant calories, and all can be taken fasted.
Is this pack suitable for endurance sports too, not just weight training?
Yes, and it is particularly well suited. Beta-Alanine acts on efforts lasting 1 to 4 minutes by buffering acidosis — that is the profile of the 800m, CrossFit, and hill cycling. Taurine showed endurance benefits in the Waldron meta-analysis, and ALCAR supports lipid oxidation during long efforts.
