Q&A

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to know whether a nootropic works for me?
It depends on the compound. Caffeine, L-theanine or taurine can be judged on a single dose. Choline sources and NALT need a few days. Beta-alanine, creatine or magnesium, however, only show measurable effects after 3–8 weeks of daily intake — judging them over three days leads to abandoning them wrongly.
Can a beginner take several nootropics at once?
We strongly advise against it. If you start several products simultaneously and notice a change, you will never know which is responsible, nor which causes any side effect. Introduce one compound at a time for 2–3 weeks. Packs are the exception: their components are chosen to act on complementary mechanisms already documented together.
Should I get a blood test before starting nootropics?
Not mandatory, but strongly recommended if your main symptom is permanent fatigue or brain fog. Iron, vitamin B12 or vitamin D deficiency produces exactly these symptoms, and no nootropic will correct it. Checking ferritin, B12 and 25(OH)D costs less than a quarter's worth of useless supplements.
